George and Pin-Head – Weekly Comic #16

Part 3 of 3

People have been asking me one question, since this comic strip’s inception, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2009 when I made the first official strip for my High School’s news paper: What are George and Pin-Head? I always explained they were made of that putty toy you put on newspaper to soak up the image so you can stretch the face and whatnot. As a kid I basically combined all the different cartoons I watched (Homestar Runner, Veggie Tales, Gumby and many others) and made a ball and a cone out of my own collection of Silly Putty. Then I would make videos with the family’s camcorder (all of which are lost to time(thank christ)).

I’ve been telling myself for YEARS I’d would eventually have to make a comic explaining this in some way. These three strips finally explains their origins. They’ve changed a lot since I was a kid, they’ve grown with me and in that way they’ve grown with those first few readers who read this in their school newspaper and the even fewer who found them on Smackjeeves or FunnyJunk.

Here you go, George and Pin-Head’s origin story. Finally.
